Mine's very small, but still showing some pretty variegation:
Lovely Xi and glad you got this thread up and running again.

I know it hasn't really done anything since my last photo (though I've staked it to encourage some height), but I can't help but take pictures of this little thing - it's definitely one of my favourites this year:
A photo diary on the forum shows everyone the progression of a cultivar. It gives new and old members the chance to see if it is something for them. I'm watching......
Very true, D (plus it's just fun....!)
Here's the little one again. I love the pale pink contrast with the dark leaves: this one is going to be quite something when it gets bigger:
Has a hint of Hanah Matoi about it Xi. Don't you just love that variegation.
I had to go and look up Hana Matoi here on the forum and you're right, there are a lot of similarities! Oh well, that's another one to add to my list, given how much I love my little Hanabi no Mai! Isn't this fun!
Gets expensive though. But who needs to keep warm this Winter.... Lol
Fairly sure I have enough maples now that the fallen leaves can become quite effective insulation...?
Ahh didn't think about that.....lol
My little guy popped out the cutest, pinkest new leaf. Love that new growth!
