    11th May 2022 and not one for spectacular Spring colours, but it's the anticipation with this cultivar of what will come in a few months.

    Are "Sazanami" and "beni Sazanami" the same varieties ? (
    I spotted this variety at my nursery)

    Good morning Romain, Sazanami is green and Beni Sazanami is red. Hence the Japanese meaning of beni = crimson etc.
    So they are two different cultivars.
