Hi everyone! I am looking to plant a mid-sized tree in my parents' front yard and came across the Chinese Pistache tree (Pistacia chinensis) and was wondering if anyone has either seen these trees growing in lower mainland BC or have experience growing it themselves in PNW climate? I'm trying to understand whether this tree would do well in Vancouver (zone 8) with our wet winters and dry summers.

I know these trees are relatively common in California and Oklahoma as street trees, but seems to be rare here in Vancouver despite this tree being drought tolerant to our PNW summers, having an attractive canopy, and beautiful autumn colour. Maybe there are other issues with this tree that I'm unaware of?

    Thank you all!
