I have pocket planters in a retaining wall and and would like to plant bamboo in them but I'm worried that their root systems might destroy the planters and or the wall itself.....are there any bamboo grasses with small or at least non rupturing root systems, thanks, Damien.
There are clumping bamboos that don't have runners, but depending on the container material, even running bamboo rhizomes are not powerful enough to break through a solid surface; again it depends on the container material though.
