Beeches: Beech Importing

    Bad News for us Fagus guys . The Feds do not allow importing Fagus from Europe as of Jan 08 .

    BUMMER lots of new ones there .

    Seeds, or live plants? Or both?

    They presumably have a good reason for it, some disease or other that you don't want.

    Bare root plants are on the restricted list . It in because of the suden oakdeath desease.

    Actually in the past some of the restrictions of specific plants have been based on false notions, unrelated plants not harboring them being prohibited for conditions affecting other kinds of plants.
