Earlier this month we discovered a Scotch Broom on Pender Island that appeared to have a ScotchBroom Gall Mite infestation on it. I was wondering if anyone was keeping track of where this mite was spreading to?
Can't answer the question, but a gentle reminder: the spelling 'scot*h' in this context is offensive to many people in Scotland, please avoid it. The correct spelling is 'Scots' or 'Scottish'. Or simply, for the species, just Common Broom. Thanks!
Likely someone at BC's FLNRO is responsible for tracking, since it is discussed here: https://www2.gov.bc.ca/assets/gov/f...-industry/forestry/agents/aceria_genistae.pdf Unfortunately, no contact information there.
