Hi about 2-3 wks ago I planted and potted a few grafted grape vine cuttings. Now it seems like the bud is pushing and looks bigger than 1 mth ago ( it looks swollen ) also on top of the cutting it is starting to become green can anyone let me know how or show me what it looks like because I am new at this.

    Thanks

Thanks for responding do you have any info on Nebbiolo grape vines because those are the vines I planted and potted. Maybe there is a link I can go to.

    Thanks

Once the bud 'bursts' and the tiny leaves & stems emerge, PROTECT FROM FROST! Last official frost date in Toronto is still at least 2 weeks away.

What you see on your vines now is pretty typical of any grape variety and not unique to Nebbiolo. If you plan on wintering them outdoors, they will need protection from temperatures below ~ -18º.

Not sure I would have chosen Nebbiolo for a first time grower? It's a VERY demanding grape variety if you're expecting to make good wine.

I put about 10 Barbera grafted grape vines in a big bucket in my garage over the winter and what I noticed that was they are starting to bloom or break open, is it OK to start planting them outside or is it to late to plant them in there permanent place can you please advise me.

    Thanks

Yes, you can plant them outside but as said before....
If they are currently 'bareroot' they will need to get in some soil ASAP.

These vines are grafted on 3309 rootstock I put them in the garage for the winter, but now they are bud breaking it's ok to plant them outside.
