This ground cover was here when we moved to this house it stands about 8" tall with umbrella type yellow green flowers & asparagus fern like leaves. Smells sweet honey like in the spring. Very vigorous ground cover with runner roots.
Compare with this one. If not the same species, then same genus at least. http://images.google.com/images?gbv...t=result&cd=1&q=euphorbia+cyparissias&spell=1
be careful if you try pulling it up to remove it or keep it in bounds. Euphorbias have a latex sap that can be irritating to extremely irritating to eyes, lips, even skin. Be sure to wear gloves and eye protection if you work around it.
I had this plant growing in my garden for a few years. Every season it spread (in a circle pattern larger and larger until it was like 3'-4' wide around (purchased in a 6" pot) Finally pulled it out or I think it would have taken over!
The one with the maroon flower is Geranium phaeum or common name is Mourning Widow. It does like to self-seed in my garden, but it hasn't become invasive.
Sorry didn't read your question carefully enough, I didn't realize it was only the yellow flower you were inquiring about.
