Cedrus libani 'Blue Angel' is a robust, upright, tree-form of cedar of Lebanon with and overall open structure, somewhat twisted and pendant branches and twigs, and powder-blue needles that are exceptionally long for this species. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 12 feet (3.5 m) tall and 4 feet (1.2 m) wide, an annual growth rate of 12 inches (30 cm). This cultivar originated as a seedling, selected and introduced by Gene Schiedel of Scheidel Nursery in Aurora, Oregon. It has also been known as 'Schiedel's Weeping', which was probably a provisional name that was replaced at some point. Planted in March 2021, picture taken December 2021.
