For ever that's how long , have reported this myself on numerous occasions over the years to no avail and to be honest have just given up trying. The main culprit is the well known auction site beginning with E !!! who on earth thinks that there are such cultivars that have this colour ?? Have just been on to the site and in the first page alone there are seven sellers alone listing these "coloured seeds" with sales in excess of seven thousand with the average cost of £ 4.00 per sale , do the math you don't have to be Einstein to see how much money that are screwing out of unsuspecting buyers !!! and you can see also why they are not taken down 10% goes to the site on which they are listed and PP will also take their cut as well. So you can see this is a nice little earner for all parties concerned. Its like the Blue and Black rose plants THEY DONT EXIST !!!!!!!!!

this image contains two subsepcies of sugar maple. the left on is acer saccharum subsp. floridanum (southern sugar maple/florida maple), and the maples on the right are acer grandidentatum (bigtooth maple). pretty cool to see differences in these maples
