Thanks so much, Sandpebbles - that's great. I'll send ya a few more surprises too. Glad you're getting so excited about your light systems, and growing stuff over Winter. Boy, you are going to have fun. Feel free to ask all the questions you like, that's why we're here - to learn, and to share. : )
here's a site that's a mixture of interesting tips. scroll down for short intro to aquaponics. http://www.gardengirltv.com/urban_sustainable_gardening/blog_aquaponics_water_garden_blog.html
I still have to pay off that dept I owe you for those seeds, but I could throw in something extra when I send the sedums next spring. ;)
Are you kidding?!!! That banana plant you sent me is one beauty, and you spent a fortune to send it to me - plus what you paid for the plant itself. I just want some of your sedums, that's all, but you don't have to feel like you owe me, Zac. That banana plant is my prized plant right now - thought you'd like to know. I even talk to it! It is just gorgeous, and I cannot thank you enough. I think of you every time I see it, and remember how you so kindly sent it to me, in a time of sadness, when many of my plants were stolen. Thanks again, Zac. You are a very sweet young man. I will continue to show pics of it Zac, but I wasn't sure if you knew about this thread... http://www.botanicalgarden.ubc.ca/forums/showthread.php?t=58324&goto=newpost I wanted to see if someone could identify it... : )
hi guys. just got away for a few minutes. it's trick or treat all the way today. :) the kids seem to have gone the extra mile this season. all very beautiful and creative costumes. LOL. in the midst of giving my babies their baths and trimming, i noticed some new growth. i'm really loving these lights. very cool. oh and Shearme, please don't feel that you owe me. i had some extra seeds and thought you might enjoy trying them as i did, that's all. no worries. so i'm done for today. take care for now.
Hollyberry. it'll be awesome if they surprise you with fruit. if not, the ornamentals equally provide an ambience of indoor tropics.....it's beautiful. :) perhaps you can start a plant ID thread to see what comes up. it should be fun...you know, name this plant type of thing.
Oh yes Sandpebbles - already started one... http://www.botanicalgarden.ubc.ca/forums/showthread.php?t=58324&goto=newpost : )
