This beautiful rose isn't doing so well for me. I have "Pat" on the sunny side of my house along side other roses. The Graham Thomas rose 3 feet away is healthy, vigorous and blooms beautifully but Pat isn't nearly so vigorous, has thin branches not sturdy enough to hold the blooms up and the flower itself is soft and floppy. Any suggestions???
The Pat Austin rose is known for being somewhat spindly and so it might be recommended to use additional support when blooming so as to avoid the cane to drop. It grows in zones 5 to 9 so it should be growing well unless soil or water conditions become a limiting factor.
