    Thanks for posting this, Junglekeeper, and for the other articles you show us, too.

    Another complication with this situation is that Devils often die before they can produce offspring, further dwindling the population.

    The Australian government appears to be spending money on koalas---on acquiring land as sanctuaries for them. However, this expenditure, though well-meaning, does not directly address the urgent need for funding research for treatment or cure of the plagues of chlamydia and Koala RetroVirus (KRV) which are decimating these animals.

    Hope that the Devils have advocates that will find the money needed, get it to the right scientists, and do so before time runs out.
