I have two acer palmatum maples planted two years ago. About six feet tall, in Kelowna, planted about 25 feet apart. The bottom third of each tree looks very healthy with nice red leaves. The top two thirds have buds which formed some months ago and have sat dormant since. I have trimmed off dead looking black ends of branches and, suspecting a fungus, have sprayed with Bordo Copper Spray three times over the past few weeks. Picture attached. Any suggestions for how to save these trees would be greatly appreciated.
