I'm trying to upload a photo the same way I have uploaded others today, same phone (iPhone X), same OS, etc. but I'm getting this message. Is there anyone that can help me understand what it wants me to do? I took a screenshot, but the thumbnail is very tiny...not sure if it will show up properly. Thanks for any help!
Well, your posting demonstrates that you know how to upload a photo, and I have seen your other postings, in which the filetype (the last bit after the dot) is jpeg. In the file above showing the error message, the filetype is png, which also works here. The error message shows the filetype as heic, which is not a filetype that is recognized here (I am really assuming that, because that's what the error message says - I haven't tried to look for the list). My eyes glaze over when I read this page: Open HEIC File, but it might have some info that tells you how your phone managed to save that one photo in that format, and how you can convert it to jpg.
That page I referenced has a link to Convert HEIC File. If that was the last photo you took, you might have done something to change a setting for the filetype used to save your photos. You should check that and make sure it's set to jpg. I also got to this page from that link: How to Stop iPhone from Taking Photos in HEIC in iOS 13
I did check. The allowed photo extensions (filetypes) are png, jpg, jpeg, jpe, gif. I don't know if these specs vary by user or apply to everyone, as they seem different from what another user ran into last year: Maximum Dimensions: 4,000px x 4,000px Maximum File Size (MB): 15 MB For video, the allowed extensions are avi, m4v, mov, mp4, ogg, webm, wmv
