Ferns: Fern ID help needed

    Hi-

    I saw these beautiful ferns planted at a park in Seattle en masse and they looked amazing. they were in full sun. does anyone know this fern?

    It's a little late, but I came across this while looking up a fern I'm trying to identify, and it helps to have names on ones that are posted.
    Is this a Dryopteris?

    The main fern that can grow profusely in sun is our local Sword Fern, Polystichum munitum .

    I don't know if this can be verified, as it's an old post, but it looks like the Polystichum polyblepharum that grows at the UBCBG.

    Oh, you mean one I photographed and posted, and on another posting named as a possible ID? Not that I would remember two years later, but still, it doesn't do anything for my ferns-are-too-hard-to-identify attitude. Maybe a little reading will help - I'm adding a few links for my own benefit:
