I've read alot on this site about Pampas Grass. Such as when to trim/prune. I've also read that one should fertilize too, but I cannot find what to use as fertilizer. Any suggestions? I just planted the grass 2 days ago (if that matters).
I suspect it will be fine without fertilizer unless you have really poor soil. Around here they are indestructable and in fact classed as a weed. You could use bone meal (blood and bone) that is always a safe organic option. Liz
They grow here in california in the worst soil imaginable. The grow in rocky, clay soil as if is was filled with nutrients and well water. They grow so well that they are invasive. So don't worry about fertilizing them. Worry about them taking over your garden.
