1. Pentagramma triangularis is a fern I'd never heard of before moving to my current garden and finding it here and there tucked into rock outcroppings and other very inhospitable-looking places. It goes brown and shrivels up during the dry months unless I make an effort to keep it watered. Even though it is said to prefer shady areas, this one is in full sun. E-Flora BC Atlas Page 2. & 3. I love the tapestry effect of many moss species (and lichen) growing together on rock outcrops.
I look forward to seeing photos of it when it does get the brown fronds Margot, as IMO it is esthetically the best time of this fern.
