A friend was having doubts about his ability to properly care for his grapevine bonsai, so he's just given it to me to care for. I love plants, but am just starting to learn to care for them, and have never had a bonsai. All the previous posts have been really helpful. My question is...does anyone know what might be afflicting this little tree. It's got a small amount of a powdery white substance on it's trunk, and also on some leaves, which causes the leaves to curl. Is it mildew or some kind of mold? Otherwise, it's got lots of new growth and seems to be thriving. Thanks for your help!
