If it works - don't try to fix it! The internet is full of cross species friendships. An Old retired Elephant and a dog. The Dog that regularly goes down to the ocean to swim with a dolphin friend. The Great White shark that "watches over" the fisherman that cut him out of a fishing net, saving his life. (Doesn't help much with his fishing) Google "LOL Cats" some time and go through their catagories. barb
Here's another story of interspecies friendship. In 2004, Owen, a young Nile hippo, was found stranded by a tsunami. He was given a home at Haller Park in Kenya. There he met Mzee, an elderly Albabran tortoise. The two became fast friends. Much info available: they have their own web site and book. Here is one article: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/4152447.stm# Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7LgGmKkkn34 And the Owen/Mzee site: http://www.owenandmzee.com/omweb/ If only people could learn to coexist so well.
What makes this relationship unusual is that it was beyond friendship.Doe I Make You Horny Baby? Ram And Deer Fall In Love At Chinese Zoo.
