Help ID this tiny red flies please!

I've googled and couldn't find any information on this tiny red flies. I'm not even sure if they're good or bad to have in the garden. Any help would be appreciated. Sorry if the pics are a bit censored. I noticed that they all fly as a couple (pretty much) and one is always on top of the other - I hope they're not trying to produce more babies, ha-ha.

Yes. we actually didn't stop googling until we found out what they are. I'm glad that they are beneficial insects, whew! Thanks.
