I have three different hibiscus plants. Originally they were red, yellow and a deep salmon colour. Now they are all the same bright red colour. Is there anything I can do to bring them back to their original colours? Could it be the soil or the fertilizer I'm using that makes them all the same colour?

    Hello Deb,

That seems odd. What kind of hibiscus are they? Do you have any photos you could post?

I wonder if your plants were grafted, and the red flowers are growing from beneath-the-graft.

Hibiscuses arefaithful to their color, unlike hydrangeas.

Or they were unstable cultivars that reverted. Don't know if this happens much with hibiscus or not.
