Identification: Identification of small purple mushroom

Purple, cap about 3/4 inch diameter
Seen on October 18, 2018 on Mayne Island

 

Hi David - Welcome to the Forums. Lovely mushroom: Do you have a photo of the underside of the cap?

 

Same as the other one, I do not have another photo of this mushroom.
New to mushroom ID hobby, I was happy to see such a colourful specimen.
I had no idea at the time that I needed much more information than just one picture.
I thought at the time that I should not disturb or destroy it so that other people could enjoy it.

I agree it is better to leave them undisturbed. I sometimes carry a mirror to look at underside details.

Based on what I can see, this is likely one of the lilac-coloured species in Inocybe or Cortinarius genus
