I would like to find a grape vine that produces little or no fruit to grow over a large 50' x 12' pergola. I really likje the foliage of the grape but don't want the mess. Anybody have aby suggestions?
Have you considered Ampelopsis brevipedunculata, the 'porcelainberry' ? This is vigourous, with leaves rather similar to the grape vine. Small insignificant flowers result in amazing turquoise berries. There can always be 'mess' though!
