I think this has to be 'Shiro-fugen', such long flower stems, still opening buds now when the 'Kanzan' are in bloom. What a fabulous-looking 'Kanzan'.
Report from Greenclub scout, May Lin, in Langley. She found this rare Okame blossom in 53Ave & 198a st. I checked the thread and it seems it was not reported before? Though it is only one tree, but it's worth to take a look in Langley.
@May Lin, welcome to the forums. It's nice to see some photos from Langley, and thanks for telling the festival about one of the map markers with the wrong photo. I have fixed it. I see now how you noticed that.
Good morning May, love your photos, there are some strange hair cuts given to some trees, lol. But everyone to their own as they say.
@wcutler Hi, morning . I just live on the corner of the street, that is why i know photo is not right. I am the member of Greenclub. This year, I post some pictures of cherry blossom in Langley on Greenclub FB. Janice Lin noticed that one Okame blossom in 53Ave & 198a ST is not on cherry blossom map. I start look around my area in map, notice a lots cherry trees is not on map. I would like to update some pictures and try to complete cheery blossom in Langley. Thanks
