monoecious or dioecious?

    is acer palmatum monoecius or dioecous?
    and when it arives sexual maturity?

    The draft Flora of China lists it as andromonoecious (i.e., flowers can be either both sexes together, or just male, but not just female).

    Sexual maturity at around 10-20 years, but very variable. Grafted cultivars (grafted with already-mature scion wood) may of course flower on 'younger' plants.

    No, there's quite a lot of variation between different species of maple.

    i believe acer negundo is dioecious

    my palmatum subsp.palmatum is sex mature this year; after 11 years ,4 in nursery in pot ,7 in soil of my garden..
