I recently bought and potted up a Musa Basjoo banana tree to put on my Vancouver back patio, which faces North-North-West and gets about an hour of sun at the end of the day. So far I've been keeping it under the edge of the patio where it gets some ambient light but no rain falling on it. I've saved it a spot on the patio up against the house so it's sheltered from the wind on the house side, and it will have a tiny bit of shelter from the house's eave. The weather for the next week (and probably the rest of May) is forecasted to be about 16C-18C during the day and 8C-11C at night with some rain. Is it too cold and wet to bring it out from under its shelter and onto the patio?
