my hipiscus

    hello ....My Hip Tree is about 5ft in a pot. I brought it in doors for the winter.Its growing pretty tall but no flowers, i know it needs more light. what kind of light? And when can it be moved outdoors?Im really scared to trim it.Does it have to be trimmed?

    I don't have a clue where Oceangate is, so I can't really say about 'inside-outside'. Rule of thumb would be, of course, to move it out after all (repeat all) possibility of frost has passed. After living in a stable environment inside the house, exposure to the wind and varying humidity might be a small acclimitization problem. Plenty of water(well draining) and minimal sun exposure for a while would be in order. Also, since this is the growing season, checking the plant to see if it is root bound, and if not, starting a fertilizer program to enable the growth you expect to occur. Good luck. chuck

    how about trimming it?....(nessary?).does it need to be trimmed.,nj,usa.
