I'm guessing a Fritillaria, quite small in height, maybe 7 or 8 inches? Flowers every year, bulblets. Foul smelling flowers.
Thank you @chimera ^^ Thanks Ron. I was sold this plant as Fritillaria affinis a couple years back from a garden store that has since went out of business. When I researched chocolate lily it said it was shy flowering, and I began to get suspicious as mine consistently would flower. I was hoping someone would be able to tell the difference of 'winged' and 'wingless' seedpods, as F. affinis has winged and F. camshatcensis was unwinged, and I couldn't tell for sure.
There are a few photos of F. affinis and an illustration of F. camschatcensis seedpods at http://ibis.geog.ubc.ca/biodiversity/eflora that may help.
Looks more like F. camschatcensis to me (tepals flare out, not as much spotting on the tepals), but if you want to take a photo of the fruit as it develops a little more, can confirm. It doesn't look to me so far that it will be winged, though.
