Hi Everyone - I live in Vernon, BC and I have planted some grapes in the backyard this spring that I rooted from dormant cuttings from a friend's prunings - about 15 plants. They are Himrod, green eating grapes, I believe. They were easy to root and have grown a substantial amount this first year - I've established 15' of stem growth in the best ones. However, I seem to have a leaf disease in a couple of the plants. All of the vines have great vigor and even the ones with this leaf issue are growing great. I've attached photos of the leaf and underside. The leaf gets really bumpy and disformed. I've searched around a fair amount on the web and can't seem to find anything that looks quite like this on the sites. I suspect it is some type of fungus as it appears "fuzzy" like mycelia, sort of... white coloured. As the leaf ages those white spots on the underside of the leaf get brown and then finally dry out. At the terminal growing tip, even the small, newly formed leaves are already starting to show signs of this deforming disease. Anybody seen this before? How do I deal with it? Will this spread to adjacent, unaffected plants? Help! I am very excited about getting my small backyard vineyard producing and don't want this to slow me down!! Thanks, Joe
