Hi . This is not a plant problem ,but it is sort of tree problem at a stretch . I'm not sure where to ask this but I'll try here . We have a pair of Robins and also a pair of Stellar Jays which now have two offspring .The Robins we thought had a young one as instead of two hopping around we saw three .Now I think we are back to two . All of a sudden I and my neighbour have each found a Robins egg in our garden . It was suggested that the jays may have taken them out of the nest . My question . Is there a nest which can be built for the Robins to protect the eggs from the Jays or other predators ? I find it a bit disturbing watching and listening to the Robins having to battle it out every spring . I hope there is a nesting solution . I also notice a severe drop in the smaller birds this year . Thanks , from Saltspring Island . Roger
