my boyfriend planted a josta berry plant a few years ago and I think he planted it in my septic field. It is about 8ft tall now. If I cut it back will the roots die back as well? I hate to take it out but I don’t want my septic field compromised. The plant is about 9 feet from the septic tank. Any advice?
