    Hello!
I’m wondering if anyone can offer tips on some splitting bark on a treasured branch of my Palmatum x Pseudosieboldianum ‘North Wind.’
It is in full sun, including winter sun, although I did not see this split at the end of winter, nor has the bark split anywhere else. I chose the hybrid to have better chances of success in this location. This is Zone 5A.
    Thank you!

Growth gap probably, and not a disease. That is my opinion.
