Plat du jour Emerald Lace Shiraz x3 - finally leafed out..strangely rather pink this year with little variegation..never seen it like this before. I have found this cultivar a super strong grower. Beni shichihenge x2 Phoenix Asahi zuru Inaba shidare Ariadne - strange colours on lower leaves Wakehurst pink x2
But I don't think anyone looking at all your trees M would think for one moment that you had anything other than a perfect Spring. Your collection is as always 'outstanding'. D
Cheers D but i do have a few that are rough around the edges, will be defoliating and snipping over the next few days :) one or two trees that were stunning last year are having a rest this year. This spring certainly knocked the stuffing out of a few trees. No doubt they will return next year. And apologies to all just i have just realised i didn't put any of the names in the boxes ...... doh !!!!!!!
Esk sunset finally starting to bed down and take , few more years with this i think before i breath a sigh of relief.
Good morning and as it's the last day of Spring I thought I would add some here. I've enjoyed the Shirasawanum's in my garden today and so these are at the beginning of my posting. Mr Sun Moonrise Johin Yasemin Moonrise Jordan Brocade Azuma Murasaki Shirazz
Last day of Spring, I know you are ahead of us but not by that much. LOL 'Geisha Gone Wild' 'Aureum' in shade full sun at high noon
Good evening G. I always think of June 1st as the start of the Sumner three months. Especially when the solstice is just a few weeks time. But that's just me I suppose Lol. Lovely colours from you with your GGW and Aureum this evening, such complete opposites!!
Good evening everyone, I have just removed the Shirazz photos thread from the cultivar photos and placed all the messages under this thread. Acer palmatum 'Gwen's Rose Delight' or 'Shirazz' This was as a request from a well respected member this evening. So if I can ask for any new photos of Shirazz to be referred to as the correct name of 'Gwens rose delight', it would help in keeping the correct name on the forum. Thankyou D
Hi @ROEBUK i see you have a very extensive container garden for you maples, have you ever used grow bags? If so what is your experience?
