It's finally here, and I didn't quite run ont. All brought in and piled where it needs to be now, bring on repotting! Contrary to what it says on the back, there is no fertilizer in this. They only make 1 bag (recyclable, too!) and the variations are dot-matrix printed somewhere. I guess the vast majority of substrate has fertilizer, so this is the base bag. I of course verified right away. This is partially composted bark, 0-15mm calibre. You can get 0-7, but with this there's no need to add bark chips, just pouzzolane and perlite.
Good job emery. That ‘’orga pépinière’’ is a base bag made in 33720 Landiras, 40 Km from my home. (In 2022 we had 3 great forest fire, Landiras was one of them).
Dear Pierre, I remember the 2022 fires Gironde, very frightening I expect. Oddly we haven't heard, outside the region, of damage to the 2022 wines; this past December I was in Oregon with our daughter, winemakers discussed at length the difficulties the smoke caused them in (I think it was) 2020. And the wines were bizarre. Do you use the same product? It's really excellent quality. I buy it through a distributor called Degrav'agri, who specialize in organic strawberries and asparagus (in case you ever need 10,000 strawberry plants of any imaginable variety, now you have a source!) But they are in Noyon, so there are two truck voyages involved, which I don't like much. It's funny, the other composted pine bark I bought a large amount of comes from near @AlainK . The orgapin is somewhat less composted, which I prefer, but both are excellent sources. Warm regards, -E
Cher musicien. In red Bordeaux, no one expected an exceptional vintage surpassing the excellent 2018, 2019, 2020. It will go in history as the legendary 1982. The smoke from fires had no bad influence here. It seems to me that in Oregon, the smoke of fire had disturbed imaginations; but i was not there. Each 2 or 3 years i go in Landiras to fill my trailer with 800 kg composted pine bark ; it is a quite fine product. Many thanks, i don’t plant anything anymore, i don’t feel strong enough now. A friend of mine is a great aid for repotting heavy 110 l Acer. And each two weeks i pay a gardner for the 2 Ha of grass. An other composted pine bark named ‘’Paillage décoratif’’ de la marque Or Brun (14 E /bag in jardineries) is very useful too. Mes forces physiques déclinent, mais mon esprit est intact, ce qui me permet de travailler à quelques oeuvres et quand on me le demande d’exposer dans les musées ou comme en ce moment un travail de 1978 au CAPC centre d’art contemporain de Bordeaux.
