Hello everyone, I'm new here and also new to plants! I was looking for some info online and came across this board. I hope some of you can be of help. I have a very small succulent (diameter is about 8cm / 3.2") I think it could be some Haworthia-like plant, but I'm not sure. It bloomed this afternoon. I attached a photo I took yesterday and one I took this afternoon. Does anyone know the name of the plant? Thanks! sara
don't feel bad!!! they look very similar to haworthia, so it's easy to think that's what they are! yes, surprisingly big flowers for such a small plant!!
Faucaria tuberculosa is the correct name again. It is considered to be a separate species from F. felina. The flowers of Mesembs are quite different from Haworthia and other genera in the Aloinae.
well, thanks again anyway :) at some point I was thinking of some hybrid, as none of the haworthias photos I had found were exactly like my little plant... I'm such a noob :P I also have another little plant, I'm waiting for it to bloom, so I can see if it's a Fenestraria or a Frithia (I can't quite see any transparent/"less green" spot on top of the leaves) guess I have a mystery desert, eheh... will wait for the other 2 blooms on the Faucaria. it's true, the flowers are quite big, wow!
