I thought I’d start a new thread. I’m looking at my trees and I’m thinking that this is probably them at their finest. The beautiful colours, the fine reticulation and the fascinating variegation. I love it all!
Couldn't agree more, spring is definitely the best season for me. Living near the coast mine never look they're best come autumn. Picture of a beautiful Moonrise this morning.
Autumn, or Fall if you prefer, can be awesome too but where I live the summers are hotter and drier each year. But I agree, it's the best time of the year for maples, especially this year when we had a lot of rain with sun in-between.

The tyro always looks to the Autumn for maples. But those of use who have been doing it for a while: this is the best time.
