    The cigar is yours! Not sure if it should be var 'Rubra' or simply 'Rubra'

    If it's a cultivar, it's technically cv 'Rubra' although generally the cv part is omitted.

    Yeee! I actually won one!

    Var. is a botanical designation never used with a cultivar name. I think use of abbreviation cv. is now supposed to be discontinued.
