I Was Looking Online For Fast Growing Trees, They Say This One Grows Up To 6 Ft A Year. And The Pictures Are Beautiful! Ive Never Seen One In Our Local East Texas Nursery. Does Anyone In Texas Grow This Tree?
Try a search for "Tulip-tree Texas nursery". It isn't a poplar, so using 'poplar' as a search term could give erroneous results.
I am very familiar with Grand Saline, home of Morton Salt. I have looked for the same tree and a lot of places don't know what it is and try to sell you a saucer magnolia. Tulip Poplar, Liriodendron tulipifera, is a fast growing broad-leaved tree with nice flowers. Try Chitty's in Wills Point, Harris Nursery in Tyler, and Senter's Nursery in Whitehouse. Here is a link to the inventories of various nurseries in the Northeast Texas Growers' Association. LINK
im sorry for the poplar, word but " FAST GROWING TREES NURSERY" calls it tulip poplar and sales it online under that name! So i didnt know they were wrong. they do give the title(liriodendron tulipifera) under tulip poplar.
