unhappy daffs

    planted in 2019. dug a long ditch about a footish deep with good bags soil from the plant store
    fine until 2024
    now hardly anything bloomed.

    idea on how to revive them?

    The bulbs are probably getting too crowded and need to be thinned. I see this problem with many spring bulbs, especially Crocus and Grape Hyacinth. Even our tulips are getting too crowded in some areas.

    Ours are so called naturalisers surrounded by clay!

    Which daffodil do you have?

    Drainage?
    Squirrels ?
    Rats?

    It is an empty lot next to a wood- probably all kinds

    Daffodil bulbs apparently are poisonous. I had rat issues with spring bulbs this year and they went after my crocus, tulip and lily bulbs but they left the daffodils alone...
