    hello,
I've got a vanilla leaf plant that is a few years old now with 3 or 4 leaves and normally a flower.

I was hoping for advice on helping the rhizomes spread but understand sometimes it is best not to alter your soil.
I live in a house with normal in the city house soil (I'm pretty sure?) and don't use fertiliser except for raised beds, greenhouse, or container tomatoes.

The plant has seemed really happy since I bought it, but I was thinking about cedar mulch or something more perminant than leaf mulch to help it spread. Or any home made combination if someone has any advice.

    Thanks Evan
