I was wondering what people have gotten for best results in a soil mixture for their venus fly traps... I have read about putting charcoal in with the peat in a 50/50 mix, but then I have heard sand, etc... I am putting them in a terrarium and was going to do about a 1 inch layer of gravel for drainage and 3 inches or so for the soil mixture. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Oh, and is it even a good idea buying bare root fly traps in their dormant season? I don't want them to die because I mess something up planting them.
