Definitely not fluffy ruffles, but we'll need someone familiar with ferns to come along. I'm guessing from your location that this is indoor-grown, which opens up a wide range of possibilities.
Thank you. Yes, it is indoor grown. The color of the leaves are dark green and the edges are slightly jagged.
I know almost nothing about ferns, but I came across a photo of Orthiopteris firma today, thought it looked similar to yours. There is so little written about this species, it seems unlikely it would have made it into the trade, but maybe one of its relatives has. That is exactly what it looks like!!! Thank you for looking for me. I currently have it by my humidifier. It is doing much better. Now matter how much I sprayed the leaves, it seemed like it just couldn't get enough humidity.
