    I haven't.

The winter here was very mild, and we had several days of very warm and dry weather in the past weeks : the only trees I lost were Larix, "pre-bonsai" that I didn't water when required. :-( Some of my maples got leaf-scorch, but nothing to worry about.

Not only the maples are fine, but they've had a developpement that I hadn't seen before...

The weather today was "gorgeous" as the UK-nians would say : 22°C, almost no wind and very sunny. It's going to last until next Tuesday, with even higher temperatures, then, sun in the morning, showers of rain in the afternoon according to "Météo France" : that suits me fine...

I'm less optimistice for the rest of the season.

Thanks Alain. Im having issues. I’m finding some of my maples appear sparse not sure if it’s weather or some sort of disease I’m just not looking after them properly but they don’t look as full as the ones in a nursery at least not most.

Maybe they are adapting to the local climate conditions ?...

    A hopeful thinking.

Contrary to where you live, here in France, from what I've heard, maples are at theit best at time time of the years, much better than they've been for long.

Climate/ weather is a very important factor againt which it's impossible to control, but soil and the surroundind "bio-bubble" can also be decisive.

So far, my "bio-bubble" is doing fine, I can hear and see birds, I saw butterflies and many bumblebee-like flying living things buzzing around ... _:°D

Tomorrow is a day off here in France (I wonder how many people know why, franky, I don't remember...)
So I'll just have Friday left to play the multi-tool hedge trimmer, etc.

Went to a park tghis afternoon. I saw that the gardeners are now leaving places where the weeds grow, they dont mow all the lawns to make them look like floor carpetting.

    ... looks beautiful.

Is it still potted ? How often have you repotted it ? (etc.)

Maybe the roots have some kind of, I don't know, "unease" of some sort ?

I think maybe the roots need "fresh air".

Thanks that’s the picture of it new. I dont have a recent one today. I think repot is the answer it’s been a number of years.

It might be a bit late to repot now.
Slip-potting in a larger pot with 1.5*2.5 cm pine bark to fill in the new pot could help I think until proper repotting in autumn or late winter.

-13°C was the lowest temperature measured on the ground last night here. I am glad I did not planted my tomatoes into the ground yet.

Yes, I have started watering the pots this last week now we have some dry weather. Had a few sunny days in succession, almost surprising!

Fabulous solar storm weather last night - anyone else get this?!

Was hoping for a bit of red glow on the northern horizon, saw nothing, . . . then looked round - a glorious shimmering ribbon of light east to west right across the sky, beyond overhead, 20-30 degrees to the south of the zenith!

We've had several dry days, 25°c.

Hoping for some rain and cooler weather...

After severe thunderstorms last friday (and every day since) where we had a direct hit which blew out the internet, the new box has arrived this afternoon, and boom! Live again.

We had a major hail event during the friday storm, everything is pretty ripped up. And so it goes... The hail was bad enough that it drifted, the road had nearly 10cm in places.

Meanwhile, cold enough nights to warrant a fire in the stove, down to 10-11, and around 18C most days, until the storms role in during the evening.

Wow! We also had a hail storm last Friday, the worst since a long time, but fortunately the hailstones were quite small and didn't damage anything. Nothing in comparison to what you had.

It's Wet Wet Wet and i don't mean the 90s pop group !! , the rain yesterday was relentless . Never seen my trees with such a mass of water on the branches i had to go out and shake numerous branches of various trees because i was worried we might have a few breaks !! they were so far bent over with the weight of water , never had to do this before with rain , snow yes but never rain.
