Akebono on both sides of King George Blvd. 3 years ago there were weak small trees, some of them not survived, others are still small, but anyway there are already visible colors of bloom,trees are started north of 152 to south of 156. How nice it could be in a few years.

I'm interested in those flowers growing around the trunk halfway up. I thought all those things were top-grafted, but that does not seem to be the case here.

That really is pretty. I don't usually make single trees favourites, but I did for that one. I didn't know people were allowed to plant just a single 'Ichiyo'. Almost every location in Vancouver has them as a pair.

 

Why?
I have seen a single Ichiyo's, this is a private tree not a city tree, I think
