Love this Colt cherry, corner 148St x 33Ave, you can look at and smell it.
Today I found 10 very unusual cherries. The trunks look birch cherries trunks, flowers are small white, remind a snowfozam by color and beni-shidare by shape, size about 1cm or less, and branches for sure are not weeping.

We decided to call them ito-zakura. That posting might have been before we settled on that name, which is what they're called in our book.

10-11 Akebono cherries at 20ave west from 150St. It is near my home, so probably planted this year, didn't see them before. The large tree is an Accolade cherry.
Beni-Shidare at 148St north from 21aAve.
The same size as the trees planted in my road back in September, so often they just appear almost overnight, which obviously they don't but it just seems that way, so I can understand why you missed the planting. Great fun to see them grow though.
5 very young Akebono at 156St north from 24Ave. There are even more Kanzan cherries, but they are young too and not in bloom. Maybe in 3-5 years, I would post them.
