My vote is for A.P. ‘Higasayama’ first picture taken in the spring of 1999. This was taken in early spring ( May 1) with morning sun supplying the lighting effects. Second picture taken April 22 2006 with lots of flowers. Ed

ditto alex' choices above. i also love the variegated pseudoplatanuses - Leopoldii, Nizetii, Eskimo sunset etc. also love a campestre Carnival. a single favorite is too limiting for my taste
My favourite two variegated Japanese Maples are Ukigomo (mines has been stunning this year so far) & Higasa Yama. I also have a small Acer Negundo Flamingo which is nice too. Regards HZ
Shojo-no-mai (wish i could find one) and higasa yama are my favorites......today. I recently saw a mature Shojo-no-mai and must say this tree is beautiful! How come this one is so hard to find here in oregon? pics are of Higasa yama
